As of today, we can process claims for Aetna Medicare and the customer will only have to pay the Preferred Pharmacy copay. GNPPN will hopefully work this out. Please remember that we accept ALL plans that will pay us at least the cost of the drugs. The ONLY plans we do not take are the ones that do not even want to pay the pharmacy's cost of the drug. So, if we do not take your insurance, you may want to consider changing plans because tghat means your insurance company is trying to get away with not paying what they should.
Aetna Medicare UpdateWritten by Chris Parker, Pharm.D., BCPS
We received word from some of our customers that they received a letter from Aetna Medicare stating that we were not going to be on their Preferred Pharmacy List for 2015. We wanted to let our customers know that our Pharmacy Contracting Agency, Good Neighbor Pharmacy Provider Network (GNPPN), is in negotiations with Aetna to get us on the list for 2015.
